Qualified Validation Service
According to Article 46 of the eIDAS Regulation, courts in Europe are required to be equipped with the capability to receive, verify, and store data that contains electronic signatures in electronic form.
Justikal has a built-in tool specifically designed to verify the validity of electronic signatures and e-seals, ensuring compliance with ETSI standards in a manner that fully aligns with the provisions set forth by the eIDAS Regulation. This feature enables courts to effectively carry out their obligations under the regulation and ensures the integrity and legal validity of electronically signed documents within the system.
Access Control
Access to the system is controlled through eIDs, which registers personal codes from users' electronic IDs and other trust services. Justikal offers alternative login methods with the highest level of security for countries that lack distributed eIDs.
Parties involved in a legal dispute can be granted read or submit access, allowing them to monitor the status and progress of their cases. Furthermore, an event log is associated with each case and document, providing a comprehensive record.
To ensure the authenticity and integrity of documents in formats other than PDF, the system utilizes ASiC-E containers for secure e-sealing. This advanced technique allows for the e-sealing of a wide range of file types, including sound and video recordings, Excel files, and more. Furthermore eSeals effectively protect the data integrity and guarantee the tamper-proof nature of the documents, preventing any unauthorized modifications.
Electronic Submission
Justikal leverages eIDAS compliant trust services to enable users to securely submit legal documents to the courts. The system is capable of accommodating various file formats, including but not limited to PDFs, Excel sheets, audio- and videos files, ensuring versatility and flexibility in document handling.
With Justikal, the cumbersome and time-consuming process of managing paper documents is eliminated, allowing for faster and more efficient legal proceedings.
E-Seals and Qualified Timestamps
Justikal automatically applies an electronic seal (e-seal) to the submitted documents, accompanied by a qualified timestamp. This serves as indisputable evidence of when the court received the documents or any other pertinent information. To ensure the authenticity and integrity of documents in formats other than PDF, the system utilizes ASiC-E containers for secure eSealing. This advanced technique allows for the eSealing of a wide range of file types, including sound and video recordings, Excel files, and more. By implementing eSeals, the system effectively protects the data integrity and guarantees the tamper-proof nature of the documents, preventing any unauthorised modifications.
Automatic Notifications
Users have the ability to monitor their cases and stay updated on any developments. Automatic notifications enable users to stay informed and actively engaged in the progress of their cases, facilitating efficient communication and reducing the risk of missing important information or deadlines.
Audit Trail
All user events are logged in the case audit trail for security purposes, also to ensure full transparency among case participants. An audit trail is associated with every case and document.

Justikal provides a better overview of all your active cases in one place.
Search Within Case Documents
The system incorporates an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software that facilitates the conversion of scanned documents from a graphic format to a text format. This OCR functionality enables users to conduct keyword searches within the content of all submitted documents. As a result, the system significantly enhances the efficiency of managing extensive court cases by allowing users to swiftly search for specific keywords or terms within the documents. This feature streamlines the process of information retrieval and promotes a more effective and time-saving approach to handling and analyzing case-related documents.
Personal Annotations
Justikal simplifies the document review process by providing convenient features for users. It allows users to underline, highlight, and add personal comments to documents while preparing a case. This functionality enables users to annotate and mark important sections or make specific notes directly on the documents themselves. Additionally, users have the ability to seek comments from their clients or share their own comments with specific users, facilitating collaboration and enhancing communication during the case preparation phase.
Transparency
Justikal enables secure sharing of data among parties involved in a court case. Strong authentication method and the audit trail provide transparency as well as providing the security that only authorised can access on the case.
